Opening
The soaked logbook lies spread on the hotel table; only the entry for 3:13 AM remains legible on the last page. Van Helsing stares at the tide times, while Lucy says she heard this same moment in her dreams. Outside, the black tide surges early again, and the message brought by the Harbor Master is worse: the empty coffin has returned to the pier.
